En route for the messe

Tomorrow I’ll leave for the Frankfurt messe where I’ll be at the ArKaos GrandVJ booth until thurdsay. I used to be excited about an event like that but each year the surprise wears thinner, leaving all the small exotic companies on the side. I seriously hope something special will show up but I have the biggest doubts. Yeah, doepfer will have new analog module, Roland will probably have a new dumb keyboard stealing a glorious name from the past and there will be way to much DJ gears and plastic controllers.
I’m quite curious about teenage engineering mostly because Johan Kotlinski (aka Role model – maker of LSDj ) works there and that somehow I trust him to work on something interesting. Plus I have no clue what they will bring to the messe beside peanuts. Let’s pray there’s more than that.
that video! OH MAN
OPL-1 sounds awefully like a FM-ish thing… did they do a sidstation like with soundblaster chip ?
